Circular Entrepreneurship

At Tea Cultures we have an eye for people and the environment, which is why we strive to be as sustainable and responsible as possible. We support this cause by having 170 solar panels on our rooftop and by sending our packages as green as possible. We do this by sending our packages with PostNL. PostNL ensures that they send all packages energy-consciously. For example, they have designed green means of transport and "smart" routes. In addition, no less than 40% of the required energy is generated. This makes PostNL one of the most sustainable companies in the world in the logistics and transport sector!

Our packaging is made from sustainable material and almost every component is biodegradable and recyclable. Our packaging can be deposited with the paper and our tea bags belong in the compost bin. Our tea bags are made from soilon material, which is made from lactic acid protein, which is extracted from, among other things, corn starch. It is therefore completely biodegradable and allowed on the compost heap where it is completely degraded by nature within a month. Because we limit unnecessary use of, for example, staples or glue, during the production nothing remains and the tea bag is completely broken down into water and CO2 remain.

All our teas are organic and Fair-Trade and are grown, processed and packaged in accordance with Fair-Trade and FLOCERT (the global ‘umbrella' organization that monitors the Fair-Trade process on the purchasing side). In addition, we know the people behind this factory personally and visit them regularly. In this way we know that the conditions under which work is carried out on this plantation not only meet the wishes of a controlling organization, but also our own expectations and norms and values.

As described, our tea is completely organic and natural. Our tea contains no added sugars or artificial flavors. The ingredients are of completely organic and natural origin, and you can taste that!
