WHITE TEA AND PASSION FRUIT ICED TEA
Iced tea, made from Chinese white tea and spiced up with that delicious sweet and sour taste of passionfruit and a refreshing touch of lemongrass.
Ingredients for 6 servings;
18 to 20 gram China White Wings
750 ml low mineral water
1 stalk lemongrass
3 passion fruits
Ice cubs
A very nice carafe
A tea strainer
Super fancy glasses
How to prepare;
Put the White tea in the carafe and pour the low mineral water, Spa Blauw for example, over the tea leaves. Clean the stalk lemongrass thoroughly and bruise it by, for example, rolling it rough over a kitchen counter and stick it in the carafe. Put this in the fridge for at least 12 hours.
Fill up those super fancy glasses with some, not too much, ice cubes and pour the tea tru the strainer into the glass. Cut the passionfruit in half and stir the juice and the fruit a little. Pour just a little bit of juice in the glass, not too much! Passionfruit tends to get, especially when it is not perfectly ripe, a little sour. Place the fruit with the sunny side up in the glass and just let it float around. This not only looks amazing, but passionfruit tastes delicious and is a rich source of vitamines. So be sure to use a spoon to clean out this little bomb of goodness when your iced tea is finished!
Enjoy!
