Foodpairing with tea!

Food pairing is very hot at the moment! And tea is ideal for any meal. Therefore, it might be interesting to take a look at tea in its entirety. Tea is delicious, healthy and not to forget that tea is available in different shapes and sizes.
This makes it possible to serve a cup of tea to every dish that fits perfectly with the dish and makes it stand out even more. Tea can then be used as a drink or as a regular ingredient to create delicious combinations. In addition, tea can act as a good alternative to different wines so that you can enjoy your dinner “alcohol-free” and make it feel just as special.

Tea with your dinner

For anyone who want to keep it nice and simple, there are always a few useful tips! Normally with fish comes a delicious glass of white wine and a large glass of red wine with meat dishes. These are usually the basic principles. But the basic principles are there to be broken, so you can replace the white wine with a green or a coloring tea and the red wine can be replaced with a black tea. This allows you to serve alcohol-free and healthy high-quality flavors to your guests at dinner.

Ideal combinations with tea

A tip when serving fish, you can combine it with the green lemon tea or a light green tea. This combination is a perfect match because these ‘light’ teas are grown near the sea. This gives the tea a piquant taste that goes well with fish dishes.                                                    A tip for dishes with meat are black teas such as the Java dry monsoon or the regular earl grey. For a delicious French cheese platter, a Lapsang Souchong tea is the best, a golden tip is the China smoky Lapsang Souchong, which gives the flavors of the cheese an extra kick.

If you prepare an extensive multi-course menu, you do not want the dishes to negatively influence the flavors of the teas. To prevent this, you can rinse your mouth with a light green tea such as the oriental green. This tea neutralizes the flavors in the mouth and intensifies the taste of the next course.
To conclude the multi-course menu, it is wise to serve a fresh a tea to the guests. Consider, for example, a mint tea. These teas ensure that digestion is stimulated.
