Organizing your own high tea

What could be more fun than tea, tasty snacks and fun? Nothing, right? As soon as this lockdown period is over and we can enjoy each other's presence again, it is a good idea to catch up with your friends and family.

But how do you organize the perfect high tea? Well with these 4 steps you're ensured for a pleasant afternoon!

The invitation

There are various ways to invite your guests to a High Tea. You can of course send a Whatsapp or an e-mail. But that's not really a personal message. If you really want to stand out and use your creativity is to make your own invitation. For example a personal card or a balloon with a card on it.

The decoration

The 2nd step for your ultimate high tea experience is the decoration. What is a party without beautiful decorations. For your high tea you can come up with a fun theme to transform your room into a cozy atmosphere! Put on the most fancy garlands, decorate your table and make sure your room is filled with enjoyment.

The snacks

Are you going for your high tea for sweet or savory snacks or a mix of both? You can of course get your snacks in the supermarket, but it is even more fun to make them yourself.
For inspiration, here are a few recipes that you can make for your high tea!

Matcha green tea cake: A tasty cake with matcha tea and white chocolate. A simply, but delicious cake with fresh matcha and white chocolat with your own cake mix.

Earl Gray shortbread: We have developed a delicious recipe, shortbread with Traditional Earl Gray tea. A delicious combination in which the taste of the pure Bergamot oil stands out well and the soft tannins of the black tea go perfectly with the taste of real, classic English shortbread.

Chai panna cotta with orange and pistachio: Panna cotta, a delicious dessert that is not too heavy on the stomach. This is an ideal recipe for special occasions or just for yourself. The spice of the chai goes perfectly with the pistachio and the freshness of the orange. Make this recipe a day in advance, or in the morning and enjoy it during your high tea!

The most important part: the tea

The most important thing with a high tea is of course the tea itself. Fortunately, we have a few good tea tips that will help you choose a nice tea selection for your high tea.

Japan Green Sencha: This is a steamed green tea from the Japanese rolling hills of the Fuji Mountains. This exceptional quality green tea has a delicate taste with typical taste notes that you expect in a steamed green tea; notes of fresh wheat grass, a salty taste and some umami.

Red Rooibos Chai: This is a spicy tea from South Africa. These rooibos spices are enriched with the classic Chai spices: a blend of cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper and cloves. The combination of these herbs with the warm, aromatic rooibos is particularly delicious!

Black Forest Fruit: This black tea enriches with the taste of natural wild fruits from the forest, such as fresh strawberry leaves and pieces of raspberry leaf. A delicious tea with a fresh scent and a powerful taste.

China White Wings: This China White Wings tea owes its name to the beautiful full leaves that make up this white tea. White tea is traditionally made from the youngest buds of the tea bush and is therefore considered one of the purest teas in the world.

Matcha Green Iced Tea: In addition to regular tea, you can also make your own tea recipes with the high tea. Such as this matcha green iced tea. What could be better than enjoying a delicious glass of refreshing and thirst-quenching, homemade and, last but not least, sugar-free iced tea!

This selection is a mix of spicy, green, white and fruity teas. So, you have a mix of delicious teas on your high tea!
