What makes ginger so unique?

Ginger is a root that originated in South Asia where it has been cultivated for thousands of years. Now ginger is conquering just about the whole world. This is because the plant plays an important role in Ayurvedic medicine and its healing properties intrigue many of us. Others simply find ginger delicious with its sharp, spicy and spicy character, it fits perfectly in the kitchen.

Gingerol and zingiberene are 2 very important substances that we find in ginger. The gingerol provides the spicy sharp taste and has an anti-inflammatory effect. The zingiberene also has an anti-inflammatory effect, but on top of that it also helps improve your digestion. So we can clearly state that ginger is a power root!

Dried or fresh ginger?

Nowadays you can order fresh ginger tea almost everywhere at a restaurant, but what is the difference between dried and fresh ginger? Fresh ginger will always outperform dried ginger in taste, smell and effect. On the other hand, you need twice as much of the fresh herbs than of the dried herbs to make a delicious cup of ginger tea.

Today we live in a fast-paced society where everything can't move fast enough, but that's not always good for ginger. Usually you let the ginger steep for 3 minutes and then drink it out, but this is not always the best method. To ensure that you can get all the benefits from ginger, let the tea steep for at least 10 minutes.

Ginger sounds like a pearl among the spices, and it is, but of course, as with everything, excessive use of ginger is strongly discouraged. And do you want to drink a delicious ginger tea in the evening? Then go for a dried ginger. This contains slightly less of the many properties of ginger. With dried ginger you don't get that ginger boost that you can better miss before going to sleep.
