Easy Matcha Latte Recipe

17 Jul 2024 5 Minutes reading time

A matcha latte can be made in different ways. Via the traditional way, where you first whisk the matcha powder in hot water, and the not-so-traditional way, where you dissolve the matcha directly in the milk. The 'cheat' way, you could also say.

Easy matcha latte

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 240 ml milk (cow's milk, almond milk, soy milk, or other plant-based milk)
  • Honey, agave syrup or sugar to taste (optional)

Supplies:

  • Strainer (optional, but helps prevent lumps)
  • Milk frother

Instructions:

  1. Sieve 1 teaspoon of matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any lumps. This ensures a smooth latte without lumps.
  2. Pour 240 ml of milk into a milk frother and add the sifted matcha to it. Whisk the milk until frothy.
  3. Pour the frothed matcha latte into a glass or cappuccino cup.
  4. Add honey, agave syrup or sugar to taste and stir well until the sweetener is completely dissolved.
