A matcha latte can be made in different ways. Via the traditional way, where you first whisk the matcha powder in hot water, and the not-so-traditional way, where you dissolve the matcha directly in the milk. The 'cheat' way, you could also say.
Easy matcha latte
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
 - 240 ml milk (cow's milk, almond milk, soy milk, or other plant-based milk)
 - Honey, agave syrup or sugar to taste (optional)
 
Supplies:
- Strainer (optional, but helps prevent lumps)
 - Milk frother
 
Instructions:
- Sieve 1 teaspoon of matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any lumps. This ensures a smooth latte without lumps.
 - Pour 240 ml of milk into a milk frother and add the sifted matcha to it. Whisk the milk until frothy.
 - Pour the frothed matcha latte into a glass or cappuccino cup.
 - Add honey, agave syrup or sugar to taste and stir well until the sweetener is completely dissolved.
 
Traditional matcha latte

- 1 bamboo spoon of matcha powder
 - 60 ml hot water (approx. 80°C)
 - 240 ml milk (cow's milk or vegetable milk)
 - Honey or agave syrup to taste
 
Supplies:
- Strainer (optional, but helps prevent lumps)
 - Milk frother
 - Matcha bamboo whisk
 - Matcha bamboo spoon
 - Matcha bowl
 
Preparation:
- Sieve 1 spoonful of matcha powder into a bowl to remove lumps.
 - Add the hot water and whisk with a bamboo whisk to form a smooth, frothy mass.
 - Heat the milk and froth it in a milk frother.
 - Pour the matcha into a glass or cappuccino cup.
 - Pour the milk into the matcha and add sweetener to taste.
