3 festive cocktails with tea

Earl Grey Fizz

A fizzy cocktail with the classic taste of Earl Grey tea, combined with gin and citrus fruits. This cocktail is sophisticated and refreshing, perfect for a party.

Ingredients:

  • 2 grams of Traditional Earl Grey
  • 60 ml water
  • 45 ml gin
  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • 15 ml simple syrup (or honey)
  • 90 ml sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slice for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Brew a strong Earl Grey tea and let it cool completely.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add the cooled tea, gin, lemon juice and simple syrup/honey.
  3. Shake well for 15-20 seconds.
  4. Strain the cocktail into a glass filled with ice.
  5. Top with sparkling water and garnish with a lemon slice.

Tip: You can also serve this as a non-alcoholic mocktail by omitting the gin and doubling the amount of sparkling water.

Jasmine Mojito

This refreshing variation on the classic mojito uses jasmine tea for a floral flavour, combined with rum and mint. This cocktail is light and refreshing.

Ingredients:

  1. 2 grams of China Finest Jasmine
  2. 60 ml water
  3. 45 ml white rum
  4. 15 ml lime juice
  5. 10 mint leaves
  6. 2 teaspoons cane sugar
  7. Sparkling water
  8. Ice cubes
  9. Lime slice and mint for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Brew a cup of jasmine tea and let it cool.
  2. Put the mint leaves, cane sugar and lime juice in a glass and mash lightly to release the flavours.
  3. Add the cooled jasmine tea, rum and ice cubes. Stir well.
  4. Top with sparkling water and garnish with a slice of lime and a sprig of mint.

Tip: Make this alcohol-free by omitting the rum and adding some extra sparkling water or a touch of apple juice.

Chai Spiced Old Fashioned

A warm, spicy twist on the classic Old Fashioned, combining chai tea with bourbon and a hint of orange. Ideal for the colder months, this cocktail offers a warming, festive experience.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml bourbon
  • 3 grams of Classic Strong Indian Chai
  • 30 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup (or honey)
  • 2 shots of Angostura bitters
  • Orange peel for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Brew a strong chai tea and let it cool.
  2. Fill a glass with ice and add the bourbon, cooled chai tea, maple syrup and bitters.
  3. Stir gently to mix the ingredients.
  4. Garnish with a twist of orange peel for an extra touch of citrus flavour.
