Jasmin Tea Rub

This recipe is for an aromatic rub with jasmine tea, which creates a subtle floral flavour that blends perfectly with the rub's savoury and spicy ingredients. This rub is ideal for dinner with a sophisticated twist, with the tea adding an unexpected but delicious flavour dimension.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons China Finest Jasmin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

Instructions:

  1. Grind the jasmine tea finely with a mortar or use a spice grinder. The tea should be fine enough to blend well into the rub, but not powdery.
  2. Mix the ground jasmine tea with the salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, brown sugar, cumin and coriander powder in a small bowl. 
  3. Stir well so that the flavours are evenly distributed.
